This is Michel's story as a young man still in college trying to cope with the loss of a child growing inside his girlfriend's womb. After a sudden miscarriage, he questions whether he ever deserved to call himself a father, feeling instead like the shadow of one. The reminders of that loss come from eveywhere, and soon his own sister becomes pregnant. As she gives birth to a little nephew, Michel must find the courage to hold a child who so much reminds him of his loss.
