Was this "thank you" a bit rude?
A lady was given a Coach wallet and purse as a Christmas gift from a female friend she has not seen in several years but has kept in touch with. The wallet and purse are valued at over $600.00
The "giver" is a hard working national security employee who makes a decent living but is by no means wealthy.
The recipient emails the giver "Thank you for the beautiful wallet and purse. I am generally not a fan of Coach, but this purse is gorgeous".
Personally, I think the "I am generally not a fan of Coach" was very rude and unnecessary to put in. It's almost like she is saying "I expect Prada, or Gucci or Louis Vuttion" Recipient sounds snooty and unappreciative, giver should save her hard-earned money or spend it on better and more deserving people, this person would never get another thing from me.
