How should I get this woman in trouble for selling fake designer purses?
This lady recently came had a "purse party" with my friend's mother. She's scheduled to come BACK and sell stuff to both me and my friend. But now I know for a fact that everything she's selling is completely fake-I saw my friend's bag this morning and could tell it's a fake Coach wallet/purse.
Buying and selling fake designer goods is illegal in the US, I know that much. But how should I do this? Wait until she's at my friend's house? Call her and say "Get out of here and never come back?" or tell my friend to cancel the purse party?
Look, I'm into fashion; please don't bash me for it. It'll just get you a bad rating. But it makes me angry when people are trying to steal from a well-known designer and fake their products.
i know someone who had a purse party, and the woman who was selling was very up front. she makes it quite clear that it is a replica party and if any of the information that your friend got about the party states (even in small print) that the purses she sells are replicas then she might be in the clear.
but the laws do change from state to state.
if she is selling fakes as the real thing then just tell her to cancel the party.
unless your friend doesn't care and wants a faux-fendi or whatever.
